ARAYAT - In a groundbreaking collaboration, Negosyo Center Arayat and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) joined forces to host a specialized session on the business potential of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). The event took place on March 15, 2024, at the BJMP Arayat facility, marking a significant step towards empowering incarcerated individuals with entrepreneurial skills and mindset.
The initiative aims to equip PDLs with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish their own businesses, paving the way for a fresh start and cultivating hope for a better future. By focusing on entrepreneurship as a pathway to rehabilitation and reintegration, the collaboration seeks to transform lives and contribute to the socio-economic development of the community.
During the session, participants were introduced to various business concepts, opportunities, and practical skills essential for starting and managing a successful enterprise which was discussed by Business Counselor Grace Macapagal.
